Our school consists of Department of Chinese, Department of Law, Department of Communication, Mandarin Test Center, the Law Office, the Research Institute of Linchuan Culture, and Jiangxi Drama Resources Research Center, covering 3 disciplines: Literature, Law, and Journalism & Communication..

We offer twomaster programs in Law, and Chinese Language and Literature, and offer fivebachelor programs in Chinese Language and Literature, Advertising, and Laws, among which Chinese Language and Literature is granted as the modeling discipline of Jiangxi Province. As of 2019, there are around1,100 undergraduates and over 100 postgraduates in the school.


There are 79 full-time teachers including 6 professors, and 39of thempossess doctorate degrees. Some of our lecturers are famous for their teaching and researching nationally or internationally.

Talent Cultivation

The schoolputs stress on practice, and adopts diversified teaching methods to consolidate students’ career development foundation. We emphasize the cultivation of talents to have a sense of social responsibility, good humanistic accomplishment, professional quality and innovative spirit, to master professional theoretical knowledge, and to have strong professional practice, innovative and employment abilities.

Our graduates can find jobs related to culture, education, publishing, media, and government.


There are well-equipped facilities and abundant teaching resources, including Mandarin Test Center, Simulation Court, Advertising Design Studio, Tang Xianzu Experimental Theatre,Electronic Library and Reading Room, providing a good environment for both learning and research. In addition, we have established more than 30 teaching practice and employment bases nationally in the field of Chinese and law.


In recent years, the school has undertaken about 100 research projects related to  Linchuan drama culture, nuclear energy utilization, and ecological compensation systems. These projects mostly have been funded by the Social Science Foundation of China (SSFC), Chinese Ministry of Education, and provincial funds for social and culture development etc.

Based on these features, our school has been approved Jiangxi Non-material Cultural Heritage Research Base, and our teachers have achieved a lot of scientific achievements such as many awards, 25 academic monographs andmore than 200 high-level academic publications.

International Exchange

We have actively engaged in international exchange by fostering research collaboration and exchange of our teachers in America, Russia, and Britain, as well as inviting some noted experts and scholars from home and abroad to lecture in our school. Moreover, we successfully hosted some international conferences concerning Chinese ancientdrama studies. Our school also actively takes part in the establishment of Confucius Institute at University of Tribwen, Nepal. Annually, we develop Chinese language training and traditional Chinese cultural exchange for international students on campus.


The long-term development of the school has gained us great achievements in terms of talent cultivation, scientific research and local social service. Students have achieved excellence in different national competitions of multi-disciplinary areas. For scientific research, we have made great scientific achievementsin Linchuan local culture study and local legislation study. For local social service, we actively join in Tang Xianzu Theater Festival & International Theater Interchange Month, trying to create Chinese Opera Capital as a cultural brand. Moreover, we conducted scientific research on legislation of local governments serving Nanchang and Fuzhou.
