ZHOU Cong, associate professor, supervisor of master. Oriented on the field of nuclear resources and environment, aiming at the direction of electromagnetic exploration, the supervisor has been committed to the theory, data processing technology and application of electromagnetic exploration methods, and has made major achievements including: (1) Proposed new electromagnetic exploration methods such as the space-time array electromagnetic method, the nonplanar wave frequency electromagnetic sounding method and the ground-tunnel wide area electromagnetic method, systematically studied the theoretical foundation, solution technology and application strategy of the new methods. (2) Put forward a series of solutions for electromagnetic exploration in the strong interference area, clarify the response mechanism of noisy electromagnetic fields, and proposed new data processing algorithms for different input conditions. (3) Carried out application case studies of the new electromagnetic methods in the fields of nuclear resource survey, metal mineral prospecting and engineering environment invesgation, such as explorations of the Xiangshan uranium ore field and Tongling ore concentrated area. In the past 5 years, he has published 2 monographs, more than 10 academic papers, won 6 invention patents, and presided 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation.
